Production Details

Expanding Scratch from a short film into a feature allowed the story to fully explore its world, mythology, and emotional weight without compromise. What began as a contained revenge tale grew into a dark fantasy epic about legacy, corruption, and the price of defying death.

Feature Film Expansion

I shifted Scratch from its original devil-centered concept to dark fantasy because I wanted to avoid retreading the same ground as shows like Supernatural, Lucifer, The Bondsman, and Person of Interest. Reimagining Scratch as a necromancer not only set the story apart but brought it closer to the kind of mythic, character-driven fantasy that reflects who I am as a storyteller.

The Switch To Fantasy

We’re planning to shoot Scratch in early 2026, giving us time to finalize financing, assemble our cast and crew, and prepare for the practical demands of a dark fantasy production. Our target for final delivery of the completed film is late 2026 or early 2027, ensuring the time needed to craft a visually rich, tightly edited, and fully scored final product.
